Where the water usually comes from.

- Water heater failures, in garages, closets and attics
- Supply lines to toilets, sinks, dishwashers, fridges and washers
- Roof and window leaks during winter storms
- Upstairs units, when a neighbor's leak comes through your ceiling

Questions
Water damage questions.
How do I know if water is under my floor or inside my wall?
Look for cupping or lifting floorboards, bubbling paint, soft drywall or a musty smell. We check with moisture meters and thermal imaging during the free inspection.
How long does drying take?
Often a few days, but it depends on the material and how long it was wet. We take readings until the materials reach dry standards, not until a set date.
Can I just run fans?
Fans dry the surface. Water trapped in walls, under cabinets or in the slab needs the right equipment and monitoring, or it can turn into mold.
What about a slab leak?
A slab leak needs a plumber to find and fix the line. We handle the water damage around it: removing wet flooring, drying the slab, and putting the floor back.
Will I have to move out?
Usually not. Most jobs can be done with you at home. We'll tell you if a room isn't safe to use.
Is the inspection really free?
Yes, for homeowners. It's not available for properties being sold or about to be sold.
